Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Ultra Nourishing Oil - preview

Roger & Gallet have released a new ultra-nourishing hair-and-body oil from the Fleur de Figuier scent range, joining their other products in the same family...

This is good stuff!  Containing a blend of no fewer than ten plant oils (almond, apricot, corn, rice, passion-flower, grape seed, pomegranate seed, sweet almond, blackcurrant seed, olive and avocado), it's also infused with omega 6 and 9 and vitamins A, E, F and K for maximum skin nourishment, soft and hydrated skin.  As you'd expect with Roger & Gallet, there are no parabens, silicones, colouring agents or mineral oils.

To use it, simply spray two or three pumps into the palm of your hand, warm it between your hands to increase its absorption into the skin (this helps it to go a little further too).  You can use it on dry or slightly damp skin (I love the latter after a shower).  You can even use this on your hair - if you have dry hair, as a replacement for {serum + hair perfume}.  If you don't have particularly dry hair, spritz it directly onto your brush and apply it by brushing through.  It can even be used as a massage oil, as it has a perfect texture for this, but it is rapidly absorbed and doesn't leave the skin sticky afterwards.  Or use a few drops in the bath as a bath oil.  One product, many uses!  It will leave your skin with a very slight sheen, but nothing oily-looking, just healthy, elastic, young, and hydrated.

It'll cost you around €27 for 100ml and will happily substitute for your body lotion and perfume in the summer months, when you really don't want to wear too much on your skin.  However, if you fancy some scent-layering, you'll also note that there are a number of other products in the Fleur de Figuier scent range:

• Eau Fraiche  green leaves over a flower-fruit, mandarin, caraway seeds, musk, cedar and fig milk - €40 for 100ml or €17.50 for a travel sized 30ml
• Perfumed Soap  100% plant-based soap - do you know that it takes a week to produce each of Roger & Gallet's soap rounds?  This comes with a handy travel box - €7 for 100g
• Gentle Shower Cream  more heavy on the fig influences, this features both the green notes of fig leaves and hints of fig milk, is free from soap and sulphates, and has a soft silky foam.  This doubles as a moisturiser as it's enriched with shea butter, glycerine and coco-betaine - €10 for 200ml
• Replinishing Body Lotion  this time infused with fig pulp, glycerine, olive oil and shea butter - €15.00 for 200ml

This is delicious stuff; I've just started using this and I love it.  It's not quite as "grainy" as anything almond-oil-based usually is, but definitely do warm it up first before applying, as it's not a volatile (dry) oil either.
