WTF? TLAs MUAs & Bloggers (ab)use :-)

TLAs - WTF?!

I remember (it seems like a long time ago now) when I started reading blogs, way back when, a long time ago in a planet far far away, and definitely before I'd even considered writing one myself.

The TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms) that bloggers used drove me MENTAL.  I had no idea what they all meant.  And they've started sneaking their way into my blogs too, - it's a slippery slope!  So, here's a quick-n-dirty guide to some you might see in a few blogs out there.

SA(s)No, nothing to do with the British Special Air Service, this means Sales Assistant(s)
OC, O/COn Counter
MC, MUCMake(up) counter (I've only seen this in 2 places ever, but it bugged the life out of me.  I've come to the conclusion that it was a particular blogger's own shorthand.  How and ever, as it annoyed me so much, I've included it here).
MUA(s)Make Up Artist(s)
AW, A/WAutumn/Winter.  That special time of year which serves only to feed into Christmas and then back into Summer, via the pseudo-season of Spring.
OT, O/TOn-trend.  You're more likely to see this in fashion blogs, but it crops up in beauty blogs too, and refers to the current season's trend shades or tendencies
ATM Nope, I'm not talking about withdrawing cash.  It means At the moment.  Not strictly a beauty blogger one, but I have been guilty of using it.
OTT Also not really an MUA/blogger thig per se, it means over-the-top
GWPGift with purchase
BNT, BNWTThis one is largely going to be seen on a re-seller site, and it means Brand New (with) tags
BNWOTDitto, but this time, Brand New With Out Tags.
FS, HS, TS, SSUsually refers to Full Size, Half Size, Travel Size, Sample Size
LEI am most definitely guilty of abusing this one!  It means Limited Edition and refers to something which is available for a limited time period only, until stocks run out.  MAC is irritatingly annoyingly guilty of having LE items in their collections.
SS, S/SSpring/Summer.  We tolerate the Spring.  We like the Summer.  The "royal" we :-)
MSFUsually used to shorten MAC's Mineralized Skin Finish (powder) product

So there you have it.  I'm sure there's a bunch more that I haven't thought of... please feel free to add more in the comments below!!!
