Pai Skincare Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream

Pai Skincare
Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream

I think I may have found the holy grail.  I am seriously and deeply smitten with this stuff.

Pai Skincare, founded in 2007 by Sarah Brown, make organic solutions for sensitive/allergy-prone skin.  Their plant-based products are made in the UK and sell all over the world.  They use recycled materials in their packaging.  They are certified organic and don't carry out animal testing, nor do they source ingredients from companies that test on animals.  Their products contain no alcohol.  No parabens.  No chemical preservatives.  No silicones.  No fillers.  No mica or "trickery" ingredients that give your skin a fake glow.  No rubbish.

And they work.  Or at least this one does.

Pai Skincare allege that they cater for all skin conditions - acne, dermatitis, eczema, rosacea, and all skin types - hypersensitive, red, oily, dehydrated, mature... Personally I have low-grade rosacea, a few broken veins, occasionally hypersensitive, combination skin.  In the winter time, my dry areas are dehydrated, stretched and occasionally sore.  I use Crème de la Mer for preference and find it brilliant.  But it's expensive.

I've been using this Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream moisturiser for the last week and I have to say that I love it.  In fact, it has blown me away.

It claims to hydrate and replenish dry skin and restore softness and suppleness.  And boy does it.  It's quite a thick cream and it smells absolutely divine.  My skin feels softer and smoother with progressive usage, silkier, softer, more conditioned, less dry and irritated, more rested...

The Pai website is information rich - clearly they're comfortable being transparent and honest about the ingredients they use, their policies and corporate behaviours, and are (quite rightly it would seem) proud of their products.  There's a wealth of detail about the ingredients they use, different skin conditions, you name it.  The site itself is an interesting read.

Furthermore at only €25 it's an exceptionally good value moisturiser for 30ml (or if you buy two you get a 10% discount, which is a nice touch).  Don't take my word for it - try it out for yourself!  Pai offer sample trial packs for only €5 (look here) - these packs contain a sample size of all of their moisturisers so you can see what suits your skin.

This is genuinely the very first time ever that a moisturiser has challenged my beloved CDLM.  When I need to purchase a moisturiser, this one will be it.

For a list of stockists (in Ireland) look here.  It's also available for purchase online.
