Illamasqua Precision Ink Liner (Havoc) |
Illamasqua have a bunch of liquid liners called Precision liners which are be-yond fabulous. These have a very fine tip and are extremely opaque and pigmented; the matte and gloss shades are very matte and glossy; the metallics are similarly opaque (a lot of cheaper metallic liners fall back on glitter pigments or are not terribly opaque or are quite watery - these are neither).

The colours now available are:
Illamasqua Precision Inks - the colours |
- Wisdom - antiqued gold (metallic)
- Scribe - pure white (matte)
- Alchemy - pure gold (metallic)
- Glister - opalescent nude (shimmer)
- Havoc - aubergine (gloss)
- Abyss - gloss black (gloss)
The colours I have are:
Havoc, Scribe, Abyss, Wisdom |
See this recent blog for a swatch of Havoc, the burgundy liner.
These are ridiculously easy to use, and can be used (per Illamasqua) as nail art pens as well as liners. I've used them to create temporary tattoo's and hand art...
It's not real, honest! |
Very quick-n-dirty finger scribbles |
I've used them as eyeliners, they're brilliant for precision work like teeny tiny dots...
They are quite wet however, they are true liquid liners and once they set, they do.not.budge. So take care when working with them that you correct as you go, and when you're removing them, use a good makeup remover (I always recommend Lancôme Bi-Facil, but there's a bunch of alternative recommendations (and "avoids") listed here). I'm in love with them all. I shall probably have to get the remaining colours I don't have :-)
