Beauty Tag: Would You Rather...

For today's Mondays with MontyC, I spotted this great tag ("Would You Rather...") recently on the gorgeous blog Luxe Life Aspirations by the super stylish (and fellow skincare obsessive) Michelle and I thought it would be fun to tackle these questions myself.  I like beauty tags.  I think they let you open up a bit more than a usual blog post.  So here goes!


Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eye liners, lipstick and glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows? 

I'd be reluctant to lose any of them but if I had to it would have to be my eye shadows and palettes.  Could I imagine doing without mascara?  Hell no!

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? 

Easy - chop it all off!  I have thick wavy blonde hair (that is slowly turning paler, en route to grey I guess).  I used to wear it quite long, but gradually over the years, I've been cutting it shorter and shorter until it has finally reached the style I have now (and love) which is actually super short!  The idea of not being able to cut my hair would be a right pain!

Would you rather have a coral or pink blush? 

Pink blush please.  It works for me every single time.

If you had a €1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?  

A handbag is "clothes", right?! 

Would you rather only use one eye shadow or one lip colour for the rest of your life?

One eye shadow.  You can completely update/transform your look with a different colour lipstick, in my opinion!

Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

I think I'd go with dark nails.  I keep my nails short enough and I think darker polish looks so good on a short nail.

Would you rather only wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun? 

Well, I have super short hair (reference above) but if I didn't, then I think a messy bun.  Back in the day when my hair was long, a messy bun was not only quick and easy to do (and still look somewhat stylish), it also kept my hair out of my way, whereas a ponytail kind of needs to be a bit more polished (therefore, time-consuming) (IMHO) to look well.

Would you rather never paint your nails again or never use lip gloss again? 

This is particularly hard as I absolutely adore both lip gloss and nail polish.  But I think I'd have to ditch the lip gloss!  My nails look so much better when they're painted!
