Make Up For Dolls: 3,000 Facebook Subscribers Giveaway!

I genuinely can't believe that I'm at 3k followers.  On behalf of me, myself and I (Siobhán), the "little blog that is", Catherine (MontyC) and Emer (TheArtyMama), I'd like to thank you all for following and reading and commenting and sharing and re-tweeting and what have you.  I know I have only very recently opened the blog to it, but let's get those comments flowing a bit more!

So I promised a giveaway, didn't I...

ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Mascara - review

In keeping with my obsession (and scutty little lash stumps) I've tried yet another mascara that promises to add length and volume (but don't they all really?!)  This time in the form of a fibre mascara from ModelCo called Fibre Lashxtend that I received free gratis and for nothing with an issue of Glamour magazine.

Eylure's New Look Lash Collection - preview & giveaway!

Loooooooooooooove this campaign :-)

I have to say, I do love Eylure for my false lashes.  They're a nice price for good quality falsies.  They are available pretty much available everywhere.  They have a large range of different shapes.  They're all 100% natural (so they don't look shiny and plasticy and unreal, like some cheaper variations).  They have a lovely thin, flexible band which is easy to camouflage with liner, and comfortable to wear. They're the lashes I'll generally reach for.  With prices starting around the €6 mark, I'll carefully clean them lashes after use* and I'll usually get a couple of wears out of them.

* this assumes you haven't drenched them in several layers of waterproof mascara and glitter and too much lash glue :-) *blinks rapidly*

Eylure's New Look Lash Collection is launching any day now and features new simplified packaging to make the lashes more easy to identify - it has a lovely image of a Lovely Girl wearing each set of lashes on the back of the packaging, so you can see what the lashes look like worn (this is so simple and yet, no one else does it), along with some new lash designs.

Shu Uemura False Eyelash Applicator

Shu Uemura False Eyelash Applicator

These look like a great idea, but they're not for me.  They're not bad, they're just not for me.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers

A continuation of the "Shu week" (overflowing into the second week!) and we're looking at the Shu Uemura lash curlers;  a truly iconic piece of kit.  And there's a reason why they're so lauded (and so good)...

H&M Medium Lashes - shout out!

H&M Eye Lashes in Medium

I love lashes, but I rarely have time to apply them.  My usual makeup routine involves no more than ten minutes spent in front of the mirror, which definitely doesn't leave time for lashes.  But for nights out, for a real doing-yourself-up experience, lashes (for me!) are a must.  They can be as OTT or as tame as you like, but whether you go for strip lashes or individuals, I really think that they can oomph up a look to the nth degree!
