Clarins Ladylike Collection: Look of the day

Rather than just doing a review of some of the Clarins Ladylike Collection pieces I've been trialling, I thought I'd do a quick Look of the Day post instead.  Bear with me... I've never done one of these before!

Note that mostly Clarins products were used for this tutorial, however some other products of course were also used.

My first ever tag post :-)

My very first tag post... For anyone who doesn't know what this is, it is a post with predefined questions that you have to answer, sent to you by another blogger who has also answered the self-same questions on his/her blog.  The idea being to increase awareness of each others' blogs, to network a little, to have some fun, to let people know about you a bit more with questions you don't pose yourself.  I like the idea of this, so here goes (this is a nice short one, just four, makeup-related, questions :-))

Today is my 300th post...  Pause for dramatic effect.

I'm actually quite excited and chuffed about this.  So I'm going to break with my strict "sure what does anyone want to know about me" rule and give a little insight into the Person behind the Posts.

I am sick. I am sorry but there will be no blog post today :-(

Sick as a small hospital :-(

I have had one flu, after another cold, after another infection, after another dose.  I am as sick as a small hospital.  I awoke today to the joys of a chest- and sinus- infection and a real, genuine, flu - together with temperature, sweats, exhaustion.  My blood pressure has tanked and I haven't managed to get past one dose before I get another - it's going on for months now, and I'm pretty fed up of it.  I haven't been this run down in - oh I don't know when ever.

I wanted to say apologies in as many languages as I could, then I thought, sod it, my head is splitting, I'll let Google Translate do it for me.  I can't attest to the accuracy of most of these - I haven't even proofed the ones I can read/write/speak in... but here goes:

Here's one I forgot to post last month!

As mentioned in some (reasonably) recent Facebook posts, I was lucky enough to attend a masked ball in Venice as part of the 2013 Carnevale celebrations.  I wanted to go the whole hog, to dress up in period costume, period wig, jewellery, makeup, the lot.

Research into the makeup suggested simple; very whitened, powdered, matte makeup, red "rouge" and a stained red lip.  Minimal eyeliner and mascara, just enough for definition.  Essentially this was the same for both men and women :-)

Return to normal operations...

I made it!

When I started this out, a year ago, I decided that I'd blog "whenever I could".  I thought I'd give it a year, and see how it went.  I had some rough targets in mind, I figured (nominally) I'd try to aim for:

• 100+ Facebook likes
• 250+ Twitter followers
• 2-3 posts a week
• An average of 1,000 blog pageviews per month (ie 120,000 pageviews for the year)

So how did I do?
