NYX Makeup Setting Sprays - preview
I have written before about makeup setting sprays (I have a couple that I use) and NYX have now released their very own Makeup Setting Sprays - two of them in fact, (1) a matte finish and (d) a dewy finish.
These are lightweight Setting Sprays that help to homogenise your makeup, and prolong its lastability a little bit, but note that these are not Finishing Sprays, so they don't provide a makeup-stays-on-no-matter-what barrier.
Why would you bother using a spray? For that answer, I'll redirect you to my previous post. Suffice it to say that a spray can help keep make up looking fresh and last for that little bit longer, it also removes the powdery look to your skin without making it glossy (unless you pick a dewy finish spray of course) - great when you want a matte look but you don't want to look powders. An important tip to note, when using Setting Sprays, you should always powder first, then use the spray. To use them, you usually just shake the bottle, spray onto your face from about a 6" distance, and give it a minute to set. Obviously, if you're not wearing waterproof mascara, it's a good idea to apply your mascara afterwards!
Both types, the Dewy Finish Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray, and the Matte Finish Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray are €9.99 and available in pharmacies nationwide. Look here for more info. Both (as you'd expect) contain alcohol, so if you're got a sensitivity in this respect, watch out. Setting sprays are not something I'll use every day, but they're a very handy thing to have in your makeup case.
