Chanel Spring/Summer 2014 Ready-to-Wear show Makeup

Makeup for Chanel S/S 2014 Ready to Wear show

A Friday treat - a quick sneak peek into the backstage beauty images used in the 2014 Spring-Summer Chanel Ready-to-Wear show (entitled "Art") which took place on October 01st in the Grand Palais in Paris...

woudlyalook at the eyes!
lovin' the helmet hair :-)
I want this kinda white-blonde hair (it's a wig though)

For the base, Vitalumière Aqua (more info here) was used as foundation, along with correctors as required and Chanel's Universal loose powder.  There was no blusher used.  As the eyes were so multicoloured, lips were kept neutral with Rouge Coco Baume (Chanel's hydrating lip balm).

Le Vernis in Black Satin. The first black nail polish / the daddy of 'em all :-)

The nails used Le Vernis in Black Satin/219 (have it, love it!)

fierce!

For the fierce, multicoloured eyes, the following products were used:
LinerLigne Graphique de Chanel (Noir/10), Ã‰criture de Chanel (Black/10) and Le Crayon Khol (Noir/61).
MascaraLe Volume de Chanel Mascara (Black/10) (review here).
BrowsLe Sourcil de Chanel and Crayon Sourcils
Colours: The colours were applied with the Chanel Small Eyeshadow Brush/15 (look here for more information on Chanel's brush line) - as to what the colours were themselves, I'm not 100% certain, but they certainly look to me like something water-based.

Makeup direction was provided by Peter Philips and the splayed-out helmet hair was courtesy of wigs via celebrity hair stylist, Sam McKnight.

The show can be viewed here, if you're interested.  Chanel's pearl motif is everywhere and getting larger and more obvious with every passing year.  I WANT those oversized pearl necklaces and bracelets!  Expect a slew of copycat stuff in the highstreet in the next year or so I imagine.
