Cosmetics à la Carte Brow Ink

Cosmetics à la Carte Brow Ink

Cosmetics a la Carte call this their "smudge-proof eyebrow enhancer and filler" and it is hands-down the absolute best brow product I have ever used for creating a simple, understated, natural brow.

Featuring one extremely skinny applicator...

This is a water-based long-wearing ink delivered via a pen-based liner which features an ultra-skinny flexible applicator that can be used to create hair-line strokes on the skin to mimic the appearance of hairs on the skin under the brows.

It can be used for brows, natural-looking eyeliner, even semi-permanent body art.  There are three shades:
  • Sable (for dark brown to black eyebrows)
  • Blonde (for golden pale blonde eyebrows)
  • Taupe (for ash blonde to mid brown eyebrows)

Top Down: Sable, Blonde, Taupe

Taupe and Sable are both cool-toned, while Blonde is warmer, good for redheads I think.  I have purchased all three and use both Taupe and/or Sable for my own (dark enough) brows, depending on the look I'm creating.

Before - the nude brow.  Scrappy from years of over-plucking :-(

Once on, this stuff doesn't budge.  I have used it for brides who really really don't like full brows, but in general it works best as a work-a-day brow product for the best natural looking brows I've ever seen - using short fine strokes to mimic the appearance of hairs.  It will require use of a brow set product if you need to tame more unruly brows, but this is true of most brow products anyhow.

Look here for more information.  While we're on the subject of brows, compare this with MAC's Fluidline for brows which is my new BFF for more full and flash photo-friendly brows.
