Sleek Rio Rio palette

Another palette from Sleek, another winner!  I really can't praise Sleek eye makeup enough - I have quite a few of their palettes and frankly, they're brilliant.

Released, I suspect, in time for the World Cup in Brazil, this is a really fantastically pigmented palette, full of a really great edit of shades.

Look at those colours!  The newer eyeshadows are pressed without the older cross-hatching.  Essentially, there are (as per usual) twelve shades, featuring a mix of mattes and shimmers, and as I've mentioned, a well thought-out range.  There's a white, a black and a mid-tone shade, and then a bunch of summer-inspired shades that suggest sun-drenched holidays to me:

• Tropics - bright, almost burnt orange (matte)
• Night Fever - vibrant red (matte)
• Ipanema - dirty wine shade with red and purple undertones (matte)
• Capirinha - lime green (frost)
• Urca - beige gold (frost)
• Leblon - black
• Cachaca - white with silver (shimmer/metallic)
• City of God - yellow with gold (shimmer/metallic)
• Copacabana - mid-tone warm beige (matte)
• Sao Conrado - pink with a nod towards coral (matte)
• Bossa Nova - bright purple (matte)
• Leme - bright medium blue (matte)

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for this one since British Beauty Blogger mentioned it some months back now, particularly for that silvery white and more specifically, the yellow (it's really hard to get a brilliant, pigmented yellow that lasts).  The other shades are icing on the cake really.

The possibilites are endless with this one.  A silvery-white lid with a black cut crease.  A golden-yellow lid with a blue cut crease, blended-out with orange.  A mix of the pink, red and wine and black for a full-on Bollywood-inspired blown-out smokey eye.  Fun to be had, and a few weeks off to have it!
