How I... store my pencil liners

Two posts from me in lieu of a blog swap (mea culpa, I simply had a manic month and I haven't had time to reach out to anyone, blogger or otherwise, to organise a swap).  Expect a lot more busy-ness over the summer months; it's Bridal Season and most of my spare time is spent in trials and weddings.

This one is the first and quickest of them both; another How-To post, this time, how I store my pencils...

Wheeeeeeee!

And in case this doesn't play...

This is actually a kitchen gadget storage carousel.  I've wanted one for a while, but although it in itself isn't expensive, shipping from the US tends to be.  When I saw one recently enough on ebay, I hopped on it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the inner rings are as deep as the outer ones, so you need to store taller "stuff" in those, or perhaps add some beads to it, or something to raise the level of the base.  The other thing to be aware of - these are quite large; I had anticipated something a little smaller, but nope, it takes up quite a bit of space.  It's fine though.  What I love about it is that I can see everything at a glance (actually, it's fantastic for classes and for makeup trials), I'm no longer rooting around through three Muji storage drawers for different pencils, I can see 'em all at a go now (I have them roughly, approximated into colour-categories).

I have one of these also and I love it, but to be honest I rarely use most of the pencils as "out of sight, out of mind", I rarely remember them.  So I'm going to decant them all into the carousel above too... hmmm.  Not sure how much this will wreak my "rough" colour coding though!

You'll see more information here if you're interested.
